This looks amazing. I usually use corn syrup but this recipe doesn't, which seems better. I'm going to give it a shot.

That's a tiny kitchen! The sorbet looks awesome for summer and she makes it look easy. Something different than the rest. Another good use for my ice cream maker. Yum.

Refreshing! I'm going to try to just freeze it in popsicle molds instead of the ice cream maker. Looks great.

I tried this - terrific! I used a regular lemon but it still tasted amazing. I used this for drinks, which was gone in a 1/2 hour. Everyone loved it!

Sorbetto with Santa Margherita Prosecco, Citrus & Pomegranate Fruits!

Paired with Prosecco

Description:

This clean, citrus-y, sweet and scintillating treat harmonizes well with any cuisine. May also be used as a dazzling cocktail to celebrate any reason whatsoever!

Ingredients:

  1. - 7/8 cup superfine sugar
  2. - 3/4 cup distilled water
  3. - 1 cup chilled pomegranate juice
  4. 1 cup chilled citrus Juice Combo of:
  5. - Meyer Lemon (1 – approx. 1oz.)
  1. - Italian blood oranges (2 – approx. 4oz.)
  2. - Small to medium size ruby red grapefruits (1 – approx. 3oz.)
  3. - 1 cup chilled Santa Margherita Prosecco
  4. - Zests of two blood oranges and 1 Meyer lemon peels

Directions:

Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Stir over a medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves – then increase the heat, bringing the liquid to a boil for about 30 – 45 seconds.

Pour syrup into a small bowl and cool (can be done ahead of time).

Add the 1c chilled Pomegranate juice, 1c citrus combo juice, 1c of chilled Santa Margherita Prosecco, and zests of two blood oranges and 1 Meyer lemon peels to syrup and whisk until blended.

Transfer mixture to ice cream maker and process until slushy, then freeze.

Transfer sorbetto into a freezer container, cover tightly and freeze until firm, at least 8+ hours or overnight (can also be done ahead of time).

Serve immediately after removing from freezer. Buon Appetito & Finito!

- Additional opportunity: Pour Santa Margherita Prosecco into a fluted glass and add 1-3 melon ball sized
sorbetto into the glass for a delectable, sparkling bevanda - Salute!
